PAINTEver since I can remember, I have enjoyed creating and making things with my hands. The act of painting papers or working with waxed pigments has a calming effect on me. The inspiration gained from the natural world, along with the healing properties of color, inform my creative work. I am constantly meeting deeper layers of myself when I make art.

The artistic process has taught me a new way of seeing..Art has taught me how to look in a certain way until I "see" something. Astrology has taught me that "how" you see is "what" you'll get, meaning we attract certain circumstances and people in our lives for a reason. How you interact and react to those people or circumstances is partly determined by the Astrological or planetary makeup in your birth chart.
Whether I am sitting with someone in dialog, or out for a walk in the woods, I'm paying attention to the signs that catch my eye. These signals cause me to pause, or stop and snap a photo. If I am in the studio, or at the kitchen table snipping paper for a collage, I gather what I see and take it into the darkness—into my dreams in the night sky, where I engage with the stars and planets and allow it to be informed and reborn. Bringing my vision into the light
The seasons, the camera lens, the pinhole, the paintbrush, my grandmother’s journals—all of these have led me to search for something in the darkness. All have been tools used to help me find a new way to see, to bring my vision into focus, out of the darkness and into the light, where they can be shared with others.
