I live in two beautiful worlds
Astrology and Art both are a means of healing for me. As an artist, it is a privilege to have time alone in my studio making art. As an Astrologer, it is an equal privilege and honor to share and hold space with others to interpret their birth charts. I listen and attend to both with an open heart, mind and spirit, for that is where the magic and creativity happens. My work is about helping people of all ages transform.
My goal is to inspire you to live a more expressive life full of joy and freedom. I seek to uncover and explore with you your unique gifts and inner resources, which lead to how you contribute and share in the world. I view Art as a type of breathing because it's healing and transformationalAstrology and Art have both taught me that when we are separate or cut off from nature—the "mother"—then we are distant from our connection with the creative source that gives us power, purpose and strength. The act of making art weaves together the essential threads that have become disconnected so we can feel part of the Greater Whole again. Making Art and studying Astrology are both key to my sanity during these turbulent times.
To find the courage to sit in front of a blank piece of paper, or get up and move the body while holding the array of feelings that come up during these difficult times can be a transformative act. Just this simple practice can bring us back to the source, since it teaches us to trust our own inner truths. How a solar eclipse lit my fire as an Artist and an AstrologerI believe the eclipse in August of 2017 was a time of great activation here in the U.S., as well as other places on Earth.
Total solar eclipses occur during a New Moon when the Moon moves between the Earth and Sun, temporarily blocking out or "occulting" the light of the Sun. During this particular eclipse the Sun was in the sign of Leo, close to the Royal Star Regulus, in the heart of the Lion constellation. The Moon was in the opposite sign of the Zodiac in Aquarius. This axis highlights both the personal and collective levels—revealing how we relate to ourselves being part of a wider whole (Aquarius) on the one hand and our need for self-expression (Leo) on the other. It is said that an eclipse is like a portal into another place where we can experience time in a new way. From a physical standpoint this is true, time appears to accelerate. You can actually see the Earth's movement appear in shadow form on the surface of the Sun as all the phases of the Moon. The 2017 total solar eclipse was truly one of the most awesome things I have ever witnessed. I can't help but wonder, was that eclipse somehow connected to the "Great Pause" that we all experienced with the pandemic? In their own way, both of these events have certainly awoken in me a renewed awe and wonder for Astrology. As with the eclipse, this "time out" has sparked my own expression as a creative being, which is being reaffirmed through my recent work. It has also alerted a sense of urgency—a kind of wake-up call if you will—to re-commit to my life's purpose. I hope it is calling you all to do the same.
